InnerVision is so excited to be partnering with Share Charlotte again this year as a participant of the Giving Tuesday Campaign.
Giving Tuesday launched as a national campaign in the U.S. in 2012 to inspire giving of all kinds during the holiday season and has since evolved into a global giving movement that unites people of all backgrounds, faiths and nationalities in a celebration of philanthropy and generosity. SHARE Charlotte will launch its 3rd annual #GivingTuesdayCLT campaign, presented by Google Fiber and Wells Fargo, on Nov. 15. The two-week campaign (Nov. 15 - 29) jumpstarts the giving season inspiring Charlotteans to give money, time and/or much-needed items to benefit the 173 local nonprofits participating in the campaign. Find out how you can get more involved here: sharecharlotte.org/givingtuesdayclt The last Members Forum of the Year is always a special one. At the last forum we announce the new "Member of the Year" and the current member passes the torch onto to the next person to do great things. This years decision was really hard for InnerVision staff. We have a great group of consumers utilizing services at Inner VIsion, and all of them are working really hard on their recovery. Congratulations to Angela for being the 2016 Member of the Year. Above: All of the 2015 Members of the Month
Each year we get together during the holidays to celebrate the staff, friends, families, and supporters of Inner VIsion. This year's breakfast proved to be a great success! We enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast, had a Ugly Sweater competition, and even had a special visit by Chubby from the Charlotte Checkers Hockey Team. Every year at Inner Vision we encourage staff to donate gently used or new items for our annual "Shoppers Den". During the "Shoppers Den", IV consumers get to “shop” free of charge in our beautifully decorated shopping area to choose a gift of their choice from all of donated gifts. This is a great way to spread some holiday cheer during the holiday season! Sharing is Caring!
At our Monthly Members Forum on November 25,2015 we celebrated four individuals that will be stepping out of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and graduating into Supported Employment. This is an exciting time in the life of many of our consumers and it is so rewarding celebrating each and everyone of their successes as they reach their goals.
Each year the staff and the participants of our program get together to have a "Global Thanksgiving" feast. Its a time for us to mix and mingle with our as well as share with them all we are thankful for.
